# Connectivity Platform

Understand SIM status and usage management in Kilo Connectivity and how it differs from IoT Server dashboards and device data.

The Kilo Connectivity platform gives you one place to follow the cellular service assigned to your devices. Review SIM status and data usage as you commission equipment, investigate a connection, or manage an expanding deployment.

A SIM represents the mobile-network subscription. The management interface helps you operate that connection; [Kilo IoT Server](/kilo-iot-server.md) supplies the device dashboards, rules, and alarms around the readings it carries.

Have the SIMs and account access for your connectivity service ready. Confirm the management actions and integrations included with that service before planning bulk activation or automated operations.

**Key Features:**

* **Fully Customizable Dashboard**\
  Visualize exactly what matters to you. Track device health, data usage, connectivity status, and alerts—all in one place.
* **Real-Time Control**\
  Bulk manage SIMs or drill down to an individual unit. Activate, suspend, troubleshoot, and monitor—all in real time.
* **Zero-Touch Provisioning**\
  Automate the entire SIM lifecycle—from testing and inventory to commercial deployment—with minimal manual effort.
* **Advanced Monitoring & Alerts**\
  Set up intelligent notifications based on usage, connectivity events, or predefined rules to stay informed and proactive.
* **Centralized Management**\
  Build a single source of truth for your global IoT operations. Keep track of connected networks, SIM activities, and service usage in one place.
* **Streamlined Troubleshooting**\
  Quickly identify and resolve connectivity issues with built-in diagnostic tools—no technical overhead required.
* **Custom API Integration**\
  Use Kilo’s IoT API to integrate connectivity management into your own applications, backend systems, or service workflows.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.kiloiot.io/connectivity-platform.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
