Switching Organizations

Belong to several Kilo IoT organizations from one account — switch context via the My organizations list in the menu.

A single Kilo IoT account can belong to multiple organizations. You might be the owner of your team's primary organization, have view-only access in a partner's organization, and hold edit access in a testing environment — all under one login. Switching between organizations changes the context of the entire interface.

Where to Find It

Open the user menu by clicking your avatar in the sidebar. Below the menu items, you will see the My organizations section listing every organization you belong to.

Each organization entry shows:

• The organization name

• An Owner badge if you are the owner of that organization

• A checkmark next to the organization you are currently working in

How to Switch

Click any organization name in the list. The interface immediately switches to that organization's context. Your selection is saved — when you next open the platform, it returns to the last organization you selected.

What Changes

When you switch organizations, the platform reflects the scope and permissions of the new organization. Organization-scoped areas such as the Users page and the Audit Trail show data from the selected organization. Your access level may differ between organizations — for example, you may have Owner access in one organization and Viewer access in another.

How You Join an Organization

There are two paths into an organization:

• Automatic default organization. When you first access the platform, a default organization is created for you automatically. See How Organizations Start.

• Invitation. A member of an existing organization invites you to join. See Inviting Users and Accepting Invitations.

You always belong to at least one organization. If your default organization is the only one, the My organizations section shows just that single entry.
